WINTER FUN FOR ALL
Public Skating and Hockey Rink
Thorp has the only public ice skating rink with a staffed warming house between Wausau and Chippewa Falls. Skate or play hockey under our lights and to the music piped over the loudspeakers. You'll find a warm fire, good friends, and great times!
The City of Thorp is not responsible for accidents that may occur on the ice. Participants may be asked to leave the premises for failure to follow rink rules.

PARKS & GREENSPACES
The Perfect Place To Relax
The City of Thorp has 6 named parks, along with several unnamed greenspaces. In all, Thorp's 61.35 acres of park and green space yields more than 39 acres per 1000 people--well above the 12.5 acre standard.
Thorp takes great pride in its parks. Please place all litter in the receptacles.
Dogs on leashes are welcome in Thorp's parks, so long as owners clean up after their pets. Owners are required to bring their own waste collection materials to the park. The waste can be placed in the trash receptacles as long as it is sealed.
Park pavilions can be reserved for $65/day. Please call City Hall at 715.669.5371 to check for availability and to place your reservation.

Give The Little Ones What They Really Want
Thorp has invested heavily in the education of the city’s children and that includes fantastic play areas. The importance of getting your little ones out and about is not only great for their health, but it gives you an excuse to get outside.
Playground equipment can be found at Conway, Keating, Northside, and Yellowstone Trail Parks and is meant exclusively for young children.
While the Thorp police department watches over the safety of the parks, we recommend never leaving your children unattended in public spaces.

New Courts with Lights For All Day Fun
Looking for a pickup game in some nice weather? Well, grab your basketball and head to one of the outdoor basketball courts that can be found at Conway and Keating Parks.
All Sand And Nothing But Fun
Let the warm weather fun be had by all. There is nothing quite like listening to some tunes and getting your heart rate up with a group of friends. That’s why the Thorp community invested in some awesome sand volleyball courts.
Yellowstone Trail Park features 3 sand volleyball courts with officiating stands and lights. Northside Park also features the newest sand volleyball court, but there is no lighting or officiating stands.
Work On Your Backhand
Are you training to be one of the next Venus sisters or storm the courts of Wimbledon? No need to pay for a membership to a fancy club. Work on your backhand at the Thorp public tennis courts.
The tennis courts are available at Yellowstone Trail Park and open until dark.

The Thorp public shooting range open 24/7, 365 days a year. This space allows you to hone your privately owned firearms on four separate lanes. You are expected to pick up all of your trash and casings in order to leave the range like it was when you arrived.
This space is owned and managed by the Rock Dam Rod & Gun Club.
Directions: From Thorp, head south on Hwy M and turn right on Cloverdale Road. Brewster's Tavern is at that intersection as well as a large sign on the right side of the road. Head a couple of miles and you will see an orange diamond marker with a black arrow on your right side just before the road makes a hard left.
