NEW WINTER PARKING REGULATIONS NOW IN EFFECT & REMINDER TO KEEP SIDEWALKS CLEARED OF SNOW -- New winter parking regulations have gone into effect this year. Alternate side parking (odd-even parking) is now in effect 24 hours a day. However, enforcement hours have been shifted from 8am one day until 8am the next. So beginning at 8am on an odd-numbered day, citizens should park on the odd-numbered side of the street until 8am the following morning. Likewise, beginning at 8am on even-numbered days, citizens should park on the even-numbered side of the street until 8am the following day. These regulations are in effect from November 1st through March 31st. Other winter parking regulations, such as the complete prohibition of parking in the business district on Washington Street between 2am and 6am, remain unchanged. Also, a reminder that snow must be cleared from sidewalks within 24 hours of the end of a snowfall event with measurable accumulation.
